What is an NKBA Endorsed Program?

NKBA Endorsed Programs provide a curriculum that develops a student's knowledge and skills to successfully work in the kitchen and bath industry and prepare for the NKBA certification exams. NKBA's Endorsed Program was created to serve the professional needs of the industry and ensure consistent, quality education for students who desire to become kitchen/bathroom design professionals.

A college applying for NKBA endorsement must demonstrate that it meets NKBA's educational requirements. These requirements represent the basis of a program that the NKBA considers essential for quality education. Each student must complete classroom work and supervised internships, which will enhance and extend the classroom experiences and ensure that they have fulfilled the minimum student competencies.

What type of degrees and curriculum are offered?

NKBA has 4-year degree, 2-year degree and even 1-year certificate programs in both large and small schools. There are programs that are exclusive to kitchen & bath design and programs that incorporate additional expertise, such as interior design, housing and construction
