An older urban neighborhood in Southeast Portland was the location for this three-story whole house remodel. Diane Foreman, CKD, CBD accepted the challenge of the Craftsman style bungalow that would require a complete overhaul. The remodel would include a second-story addition and a complete reorganization of the main floor. The early 1940s-era home was badly in need of updating to present-day standards, codes, energy-efficiency ratings, and style. The kitchen was no exception. "It was a great process, with a lot of client involvement," said Foreman. "The client went slowly and did a great deal of long-term planning."
