Upon entering Pental Granite & Marble showroom, I am immediately impressed with the dynamic layout and sophisticated design of the vignettes. Pental has seamlessly transformed natural stone into beautiful and functional art that stimulates the senses. In addition to the natural stone offerings, such as granite, marble, travertine, limestone, slate, there is an expansive selection of exclusive and unique porcelain tiles. These tiles range from small mosaics to very large format tiles. Pental also offers an extensive selection of glass, metal, pebbles, handmade tiles, and many other mosaic and custom lines.

Conserving Resources

Pental offers numerous selections of eco-friendly materials. If you are looking for porcelain that is earth friendly or looking for numerous alternatives to use recycled material, look no further. Pental offers Terrazzo, which combines natural materials to form these beautiful tiles. Vetrazzo was recently introduced to the Northwest through Pental, which is curb-side, recyclable glass that was going to landfills that is ground up and set in concrete to form beautiful slabs for countertops. Vetrazzo is available in 11 colors of 1 ¼" slabs. Recently added to the line up is a metal tile line called Rocky Mountain Tile. It is made locally with 70% reclaimed metal. Pental has many diversified environmentally friendly products for any project.

The variety of materials blend well with both contemporary and traditional styles. A wall of fossil rich limestone is paired with shimmering glass tile. Silky calacatta marble looks modern with touches of metal tile. Creative floor rugs display and abundance of layout options and material combinations. What is also of note is the practical application of materials, providing Designers, Architects and home owners with examples of kitchens, bathrooms and other living spaces.

Though Pental offers such a rich variety of selection, what truly stands out is their passion and commitment to excellence, and their dedication to making the experience pleasant and with as little stress as possible.

Pental's showroom and warehouse is over 60,000 square feet combined and allow the opportunity to personally view and select slabs. Pental does not require appointments, making it easy to drop in. The warehouse staff has always been enthusiastic to pull and display slabs for side by side comparisons. There are numerous isles to browse in the slab gallery, the spectrum of choices offer the widest variety of unique and unseen materials. Selecting your countertop has never been so easy in this well lit & ample space.

The staff provides a cohesive experience throughout the design, selection and purchasing process and they are also a pleasure to work with. Pental has three design consultants on staff in the showroom to assist clients and designers with technical and design questions, which provides an invaluable service.

Pental has been in business in the Pacific Northwest for the past nine years and following their tremendous success in Washington, opened their doors in Portland just over two years ago. Peter Pental, the founder of the company is passionate about providing unique material and slabs that he hand selects throughout his travels to countries such as Brazil, India, Italy, Madagascar and Morocco, to name a few.

I want to personally welcome Pental as a new member to NKBA, Columbia River Chapter and to thank them for hosting a memorable holiday party benefiting Raphael House. We are pleased to have you join us and look forward to many great years ahead!
